Rabbit starvation

There’s nothing wrong with eating rabbit BUT rabbit meat is extremely lean and there lies the problem.
No FAT and therefore no essential amino acids.
Whilst no fat might seem the perfect diet food, only eating protein can lead to all sorts of effects on the survivor.

Physically, you always feel hungry.
Doesn’t matter how many rabbits you eat, your body will crave FAT.

It doesn’t stop there though.
Add a bit of weather stress (usually cold for us in the UK) and it can cause:-
Headaches, tiredness, listlessness, and diarrhoea which in itself causes dehydration leading to bad heart rates, poor temperature control, vomiting, blurred vision, etc, and food cravings.

To survive WELL you need to eat a balanced diet.
All this is available in the UK.

Meat, Birds, and Fish  (Don’t cut the fat off.)
Bird Eggs (Doesn’t have to be chicken eggs)
Fruit i.e. apples, pears, gooseberries
Root Vegetables (carrots, turnips, parsnips, potatoes, swedes)
Not forgetting garlic and onions,
Berries – strawberries, blackberries, elderberries
If you can get it MILK. The best being human.

Raw milk from cows, sheep, and goats is a bit controversial.
Raw milk from some poorly managed or factory farms can contain harmful bacteria.
Having said that, some people have drunk raw milk their whole lives without a problem.
Boil milk and you destroy some of the amino acids.
On this issue I’m firmly on the fence i.e. It’s your choice.

You must eat enough amino acid rich foods.
These are essential to the body but are not stored like fat is.
The best way to get them is to eat meat, eggs, and dairy produce.
Note stewing meats is better than frying / burning meats. It retains the essential amino acids.

Finally, Don’t forget.
The human body needs water to consume foods.
Remembering the rule of threes, you can survive 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food.
So if water is scarce, don’t eat.
2 liters is a rough minimum to survive on a cool temperate day, double that if you want to eat.
Are you drinking enough?
Watch the colour of your urine. CLEAR is GOOD, DARK is BAD.
